Black & white

Black and white are neither a colour

Some people judge other person because of his colour. What makes you qualify to judge others only because your are fairer than the third person.

I heard a saying "black and white is the same colour".

Why he's using "is" not "are"? My mind starts to think.

There will be no black if there is no white; it is mutualism.
It is a tonne that helps us differentiate whether it is black or white.
Have you ever think if there is no black in this world? The world will be boring as you look all are the same when it is morning or night.

God have his reason to create black and white.

If you think you are better because you are white, think again. There is no white when black is not around. It just plain and empty white.

9,7,5

Do you know where this picture taken? This is the picture of my pupils; Year 5 2012 at SK Long Tungan.

Before I start, have you heard about Long Tungan? Long Tungan is a small village which most of the pupils are Kenyah people.

Back in Januari, when I google map Long Tungan I only can see a red dot. Which means it is the remote area; or in my case Pedalam P3.

It is very sad to say this, this class is originally 9. When I this picture is taken there only left to 7. What is worst, the pattern is "skip 2 desending order".

Next year, this mischievous children will be facing UPSR. Despite what had happen this year, I hope a rainbow year next year.

I dedicate this song to my two lovely friends, Awie and Maggie.

MNEMONIC for Pi

MNEMONIC

What's come in your mind when your hear this? Mnemonic? For those who knew it, maybe the colour of the umbrella will come to your mind?

"Richard Of York Gave Battle In Vain = Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet."

But for those who doesn't, mnemonic (Longman dictionary) stands for something such poem or sentences that you used to help you remember certain rule.

It maybe useful to us, not just to remember scientific facts but it also helps in language acquisition and mathematics.

I'll give you example in mathematics. Do you know pi? Pi represents number for the distance around a circle and the diameter is the distance across it.
The basic pi in our curriculum system is 3.142 or 22/7.  Is only costs us 3 decimal places. Do you know that a Japanese, Akira Haraguchi can recite up to 100,000 digits of pi.

The first fifteen digits are:

"the wife and children have gone abroad;the husband is not scared"

I try to make sense but i just can't help it. I thought I'm a mathematician enough to translate it to numbers.
Maybe the wife is 1, children is 4 and the husband is 1; which represent .141

An English use a simpler  mnemonic to remember pi;

"how i need a drink, alcoholic in nature, after the heavy lectures involving quantum mechanics. All of thy geometry, Herr Planck, is fairly hard"

The numbers of the letter in every word represent the digit in pi.

Sometimes most linguist will say that numbers is hard; and most mathematicians say that language is hard to consume. Maybe our brain need helps, try mnemonics.
